I am Jonny McKemey, art director/creative director/illustrator and all-round excellent chap. This is a portrait of me, by me. Total likeness!

I kicked off my professional life with a degree in Architecture (whoopdi-doo) but decided I needed a career that actually allowed me to be creative, and stumbled upon the internationally acclaimed, world-famous Watford Advertising Course. (The truth is, I did the account handling one by accident, but fate intervened and thank f*** for that!)

The next thing I knew, me and my then partner, Stu, were embarking on a two-week creative placement that became five happy art directing years with Billington-Cartmell / Brave.

From there on in I haven't stopped art directing my way up the ranks at various London agencies such as Hey Human, Brave, The Marketing Store, BD Network, iris and Dyson (Yep, I essentially became a client)

To be totally honest, I've never kept a record of the awards I've won - I was in it for the ideas, not the glory... Suffice to say, there have been many. However, progressing towards more senior levels, I've realised the importance of celebrating great work, and awards are one of the ways to prove our value to the client... and ourselves!

Outside work I'm a visionary drummer, skateboarder and artist... within my circle of friends! Have a gander at Bob's Bits, and be prepared to be massively underwhelmed. Look, I've been working very hard, ok??
